Information Object

Information Object is a class in the Top level CB-NL. An information object is a combination of recognizable patterns and their presentation styles.

  • Principle: A fundamental truth or proposition that serves as the foundation for a system of belief or behaviour or for a chain of reasoning.
  • Specification: An explicit set of requirements to be satisfied by an object.
    • Requirement: A singular documented physical or functional need that a particular design, product or process must be able to perform.
  • Objective: A specific result that a person or system aims to achieve within a time frame and with available resources.
  • Assumption: A premise or starting point of reasoning.
  • Representation of a thing: The description or portrayal of something in a particular way.
    • Information Representation: Any information required to understand and render both the digital material and the associated metadata.
      • Document: Any concrete or symbolic indication, preserved or recorded, for reconstructing or for proving a phenomenon, whether physical or mental.
        • Contract: The binding document or agreement to create one or more legal obligations.
